I grew up in New Kensington and graduated from Pitt with an engineering degree which opened many doors for me at four different Fortune 100 companies. I lived in five different states, one of them twice, often selling one house and buying another. Moving every three to seven years taught me to think like a buyer when selling and like a seller when buying AND how to deal with relocation companies.
I’ve owned ‘turnkey homes,’ that I could move right into, and ‘fixer uppers,’ that required work. I had fun with both and would not trade those experiences.
I returned to Pittsburgh in 2005 to assist my aging parents and to carry on my mother’s passion for animal welfare. She was one of the original founders of Animal Protectors in the early 60s and had pets which I successfully blended with my own dog and cat. But I knew I could no longer travel for business and be gone for up to a month at a time. This is when I decided to make a career change and stay in the area.
I got my PA real estate license in 2007 and worked for another agency for eleven years. I took a break for a few years and am now happy to be selling real estate for Century 21 AHR.
My previous buyers and sellers included:

- Downsizers: those selling a larger home and buying a smaller one
- Those relocating to/from our area
- Upsizers: those ready to buy the home they always dreamed about
- First time home buyers
- Executors selling a home to settle an estate
Each of these clients had unique concerns and needed help to navigate the buying and selling process. I used my analytical skills and MLS data to help compare potential properties re square footage, style, age of home, and location to arrive at a range in value.
As a fan of all the HGTV type remodel, reno, DIY remodeling, and staging shows, I indulged my creative side and offered suggestions re how to prep a home for sale and to visualize the potential in a new home.
